Merge PDF files

Combine several PDF files into one, in the order you add them. Runs in your browser; your documents are never uploaded.

This tool does not upload your files

The conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your files stay on your device from start to finish, there is no server copy, and nothing is stored once you leave the page. That is true for every tool on FileFlip.

01About this tool

About this tool

Combining several PDFs into one is the most common thing anyone needs to do with a PDF, and it is usually needed for something official: an application, an invoice bundle, a signed contract with its attachments. Those are exactly the documents you should not be uploading to a stranger's server, which is why this runs entirely in your browser.

02Step by step

How to merge pdf

  1. 01

    Add your PDF files

Drop in two or more documents. They are merged in the order you add them, so add them in the order you want them to read.

  2. 02

    Check the order

The list shows each file with its size. Remove anything added by mistake using the cross, then add it again in the right place.

  3. 03

    Merge and download

One combined PDF comes back, containing every page of every input in sequence.

03Good to know

What to watch for

Nothing is re-encoded

Pages are copied from the sources into the new document as they are. Text stays selectable, images keep their original resolution, and the quality of the result is identical to the inputs. The merged file is roughly the sum of the originals in size.

Mixed page sizes are kept

If one document is A4 and another is US Letter, each page keeps its own dimensions in the merged file. Nothing is scaled or cropped to match.

What does not carry over

Interactive elements such as form fields, digital signatures and internal links may not survive the merge. If a document is a signed original, keep it as it is rather than merging it.

04Questions

Frequently asked

Are my documents uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs inside your browser using code that was downloaded to your device. Your file is never sent to us or to anyone else, so there is no copy to store or leak.
How many files can I merge at once?
There is no fixed limit. The practical ceiling is your device's memory, and you will see a warning if the total gets large.
Can I merge a password protected PDF?
No. An encrypted document cannot be read without its password, so remove the protection in the application that created it first.
Can I reorder pages inside a document?
Not with this tool. Merging joins whole files in the order you add them. To rearrange pages, split the document first and merge the pieces back in the order you want.
