04Questions

Privacy, answered plainly

Are my files really private?
Yes. Every conversion runs inside your browser using local code. Your files are never uploaded to FileFlip or any third party, so they cannot be intercepted, stored, or shared.
Do you keep any copies of what I convert?
No. There is no server that receives your files, so there is nothing to keep. When you close the tab, the files and the results are gone from memory.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no fixed limit. Because processing happens on your device, the practical ceiling is your available memory rather than an upload cap.
Does FileFlip work without an internet connection?
After the first visit loads the page, the image and PDF tools continue to work offline. Your files never need a connection because they never leave your computer.
Why is AVIF slower than the other formats?
No browser can write AVIF from a canvas, so FileFlip runs a WebAssembly encoder on your own processor. It produces the smallest files of any format here, but it takes longer than PNG, JPG or WebP.
Is it free?
Yes, every tool is free to use. The site is supported by advertising, not by charging you or selling data.
