Delete pages from a PDF

Drop the pages you do not want and keep the rest in one PDF. Nothing is re-encoded, so the pages that stay are untouched.

Page numbers and ranges, counted from 1.

No upload

This tool does not upload your files

The conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your files stay on your device from start to finish, there is no server copy, and nothing is stored once you leave the page. That is true for every tool on FileFlip.

About this tool

Most PDFs that need editing need only one thing: a page taken out. A blank sheet the scanner produced, a cover you do not want to send, an appendix that belongs to someone else. This tool rebuilds the document without those pages, copying the ones that stay exactly as they are, so nothing is re-encoded and nothing loses quality.

How to remove PDF pages

  1. 01

    Add the PDF

One file at a time, because the page numbers you type have to refer to something specific.

  2. 02

    List the pages

Numbers and ranges, counted from 1, separated by commas. 2, 5-7, 12- means page two, pages five to seven, and everything from twelve to the end.

  3. 03

    Choose delete or keep

Deleting removes what you listed. Keeping does the opposite and throws away everything else, which is quicker to type when you want three pages out of eighty.

  4. 04

    Download the result

You get one PDF with the remaining pages in their original order.

What to watch for

The pages that stay are untouched

They are copied across as they are. Text stays selectable, images keep their resolution, and the file size drops by roughly what you removed.

Removing every page is refused

A PDF with no pages is not a valid document, so if your selection would empty the file the tool stops and says so rather than writing something broken.

Bookmarks and links may not survive

An internal link that pointed at a page you deleted has nowhere to go. Outlines and cross references are not rebuilt, so check them if the document relies on them.

Frequently asked

Are my documents uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs inside your browser using code that was downloaded to your device. Your file is never sent to us or to anyone else, so there is no copy to store or leak.
How do I remove just the last page?
There is no shorthand for the last page, so type its number. If the document has 24 pages, type 24.
Can I reorder pages as well?
Not with this tool. It keeps the original order. To rearrange, split the document into single pages first and then merge them back in the order you want.
Will the file get smaller?
Usually yes, roughly in proportion to what you took out. Fonts and other shared resources are only kept if a remaining page still uses them.
